Appropriate Wildlife Management in Nicaragua Essay examples
Nicaragua is a Central American country in tropical region. It is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Because of the unique location, Nicaragua is the home for various types of wild animals. Two species I will mention in this paper are Bairdââ¬â¢s tapir and jaguarundi. In addition, Campos routinely inflated the number of hours worked by several employees and then split the resulting overpayments fifty-fifty with those individuals. The fraudulent scheme came unraveled when appendicitis struck down Campos, forcing the Dodgersââ¬â¢ controller to temporarily assume his responsibilities. While completing the payroll one week, the controller noticed that several employees, including ushers, security guards, and ticket salespeople, were being paid unusually large amounts. In some cases, employees earning $7 an hour received weekly paychecks approaching $2,000. Following a criminal investigation and the filing of charges against Campos and his cohorts, all the individuals involved in the payroll fraud confessed. A state court sentenced Campos to eight years in prison and required him to make restitution of approximately $132,000 to the Dodgers. Another of the conspirators also received a prison sentence. Feudalism was based on two main concepts. One was the divine right to rule, where everyone believed that the leader ruled in the power of God. Therefore if someone went against them, then he or she was committing blasphemy and should be put to death. The second concept, known as absolutism, meant that there were no appeals for arguments with the leaders or their decisions. When these concepts began to be questioned and even proven wrong feudalism began to fail. Feudalism ended for many reasons, many of them relating to a change in economy. In order for feudalism to succeed it needed to be in a strictly agricultural society. Therefore its fall began with the rise of commerce. Many things aided commerce in its rise, such as religion. The cathedrals encouraged people, who would not normally leave their home villages, to venture out on pilgrimages. While on these journeys people had to spend money. They needed food and a place to stay, preferably near the cathedrals. From this created cities around the cathedrals. With the cities came trade, commerce, and a business class of people. Under these conditions there was no economic reason for feudalism to continue. This trading encouraged small villages to trade with one another. Eventually people were traveling often and constantly interacting with other villages. This raised the idea of regionalism and eventually nationalism. Hence it shows that every individual in this world is living a selfish and isolated existence. Love is defined as an intense emotion that leads an individual to behave irrationally as it blinds him to all logic and reasoning. A similar case is observed in A Rose for Emily because her actions of keeping the dead body of Homer can be interpreted as an act of desperation on Emilyââ¬â¢s part and also reveals her insecurities about being left alone. Hence she finds solace in keeping Homerââ¬â¢s dead body and sleeping with his corpse. Bloom also believes that, ââ¬Å"while it may be an unconventional one ââ¬Å"A Rose for Emilyâ⬠is a love story. The revelation that Emily has slept beside Homer Barronââ¬â¢s corpse for 40 years let us know that his killing was motivated more by love than some other reason such as pride or revengeâ⬠(90). 2. Symbolism Faulknerââ¬â¢s use of symbolism acts as a tool of foreshadowing and helps in the development of the plot. Initially the ââ¬ËRoseââ¬â¢ in the title suggests love as it is a cliche that a rose is a symbol of love and affection. However it is later revealed to the readers that the rose is either the symbolic representation of Emilyââ¬â¢s irrational love a nd affection for Homer that led her to kill him and keep him with her or Emilyââ¬â¢s Fatherââ¬â¢s love for her daughter that made him believe that no one was good enough for his daughter and hence he decided his daughter was better off alone rather than married.
